MICROTRAC offers two methods for particle characterization of metal powders: Laser Diffraction (LD) and Dynamic Image Analysis (DIA). Both methods provide a size distribution, but only imaging methods also detect the particle shape which is crucial for the suitability of a powder for additive manufacturing. In this webinar we discuss both techniques and introduce two analyzers: the SYNC which combines LD and DIA in one instrument and the CAMSIZER X2 which is a pure image analysis device.
